TIAC is a software company specialized in managed development services in the areas of fintech and business applications and is a member of M&I Systems Group responsible for MDC services (Managed Development Center).

In the past years we stopped being a small company, now with a 150+ strong team we need to establish new structures that will allow us to manage the adoption of new tech and knowledge in more efficient ways. 

Thus, we committed ourselves to the journey of setting up an R&D department within TIAC and M&I.

Vladimir Mandic

R&D Director

Vladimir Mandić, Ph.D. is a software engineer and expert with extensive international experience. He completed his doctoral studies in Information Processing and Software Engineering in Finland and the USA. He is a member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad.

Since 2004, he has been the co-founder of TIAC Group, a software development company.

He has applied his knowledge in strategy development, organizational processes, improvement of software processes, and HR to more than 50 commercial software development projects.

In 2014, he launched a department within the company, TIACLab – dedicated to experimentation, innovation, and improvement of methodologies and principles of working with technologies, processes, and products.

Arsen Milosev

R&D Manager

Arsen is an operations and project manager experienced in startup foundation building, building processes based on company strategic goals, and managing execution of business goals through cross-functional team collaboration all with a singular goal: To enable scalable growth.

Equipped with strong analytical and problem-solving skills ready to bring organizations to success.

He studied law, internal affairs, but decided to pursue career in IT, consulting and innovation.

About The Role

For the needs of a newly assembled R&D team at TIAC we are looking for young professional looking to start their career in Research & Development. 

TIAC R&D Associate is passionate about data, research, analysis, creating new knowledge and insights from collected information. 

Your primary responsibility will be to conduct extensive research, gather data, and analyze information related to relevant R&D themes (including but not limited to emerging technologies, industry trends, and market dynamics).

You will work closely with the R&D team and cross-functional teams as the go-to information person to provide valuable insights that will inform our product/service development strategy and enhance our competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the R&D team to define research objectives and project goals
  2. Research and Data Collection
  3. Data Analysis: Analyze data using qualitative analysis tools to create new knowledge or extract valuable insights
  4. Reporting: Interpret research findings, share data analysis results, and provide data summaries for key stakeholders.
  5. Assist in writing research reports, technical documentation, and research project proposals.
  6. Competitive Intelligence: Monitor and analyze competitors’ products, technologies, and strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation.
  7. Collaborative Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to provide research-driven recommendations for product development and improvement.
  8. Knowledge Management: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in technology and industry trends, and share knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  9. Propose and develop innovative solutions to address complex technical challenges
  10. Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of research findings, data sources, methodologies, and other relevant information.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in conducting research, data collection, and analysis within the software development or technology industry.
  3. Solid understanding of research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and statistical tools.
  4. Familiarity with agile software development processes, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  5. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Strong English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  7. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  8. Proficiency in using research tools, data visualization software, and productivity tools.
  9. High level of curiosity, initiative, and a passion for continuous learning
